Message from Our Daily Bread:
When God breathed into Adam, He gave a reason for man to live: Worship God!
As the psalmist said," Let everything that has breath praise the LORD" (Psalm150:6)
Although we can't blow life into a handful of dirt, we should use our breath to honor our Creator instead of wasting it for something that doesn't honor Him - Do our best to speak words of comfort, to sing songs of praise, and to help the sick and oppressed.
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.
Security for Today: It is true that we have lost opportunities that will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future. Let the past rest, but let it rest in the sweet embrace of Christ.Leave the broken, irreversible past in His hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.
